what we believe
we believe:
-
In the divine inspiration, authority
and sufficiency of the Bible.
-
In the unity of the Godhead, with the distinction of
the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, to whom equal honour is due.
-
That the Son of God became man, born
of the Holy to the virgin Mary.
-
That at all times, He was and is omnipotent,
omniscient and omnipresent.
-
That His death was a sacrifice to God and a
propitiation for the remission of sins, and the
means of reconciliation to God.
-
That He was buried, that His body saw no
corruption, and that He rose the third day
according to the scriptures
-
That He ascended to the right hand of God,
and is now the all sufficient high priest
of His people, also called His Church.
-
That in Heaven all His people will appear
before the judgement seat of Christ, to answer
for their faithfulness and the deeds done in the
body, subsequent to conversion, their former sins
being remembered no more, and to receive their reward.
-
That as a consequence of the fall of Adam, man
became sinful, and was alienated from God, without
strength and at war against God and needs reconciling.
-
In the absolute need of the Holy Spirit's work
in regeneration and sanctification.
-
That the justification of the sinner before
God is by faith alone.
-
That every Christian is born of God and eternally
saved and there upon is sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise.
-
That such new birth results in and is
made evident by holiness of life and good works.
-
That the dead will be raised either to
life everlasting or to condemnation and that
the blessedness of the righteous, or punishment
of the unrighteous will be eternal.
